fMM&T India 2009, India's first International fair on footwear components materials & technology ,was successfully held during 8-10 May ,2009 at Greater Noida, New Delhi, India, exceeded all expectations.
fMM&T India 2009 is the first APLF event in India which took place at India Expo Centre, Greater Noida, New Delhi(NCR) . The exhibition, a fully comprehensive event for the footwear and leather industry, allowing buyers and suppliers to meet under one roof, organized by APLF Ltd., UBM India Pvt Ltd, in partnership with Indian Footwear Components Manufacturers Association (IFCOMA), endorsed by the Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion (DIPP) Ministry Of Commerce & Industry and supported by the Council for Leather Exports - India (CLE), Indian Shoe Federation (ISF), Agra Footwear Manufactures & Exporters Chambers (AFMEC) .
The exhibition showcased the entire range of footwear materials and components exhibited by over 140 exhibitors from countries and regions including Brazil, China, Hong Kong, India, Italy, UAE, Korea, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand and USA also featuring international pavilions from Taiwan ,Spain & China. fMM&T 2009 also attracted more that 3249 buyers from 20 countries.
Alongside the exhibition, there were two seminars- that took place concurrently. A seminar titled “Fashion's compass into New Frontiers - Shoe retail trends for the Spring Summer 2010 season” was organised by CLRI-IFCOMA-fMM&T. The seminar ended with a lively discussion from the floor as experts reviewed challenges facing the footwear and leather industry in India and pondered on best solutions for leather suppliers, manufacturers, brand owners and designers to jointly deliver a successful product for the end-user.
Another seminar organized by US Hides, Skins & Leather Association focused on the benefits of using US Hides and Skins.
fMM&T India 2009 has been hailed an unprecedented success thereby achieving its objective of gathering the best examples of footwear & leather machinery, components and materials from a wide variety of international and Indian manufacturers and enabling visitors to compare technology and make their decisions on future investments. |
